Who provides this service
Tom’s Desk is provided by Checked Solutions, LLC, trading as Tom the Chef, in the United States ("we", "us", "our").

What the service is
Tom’s Desk is a private, internal tool used by Tom the Chef to read and answer comments left on his own social accounts, to run his own giveaways, and to collect his own sign-up forms. Accounts are not offered to the public and there is no sign-up.
Some pages it serves are public — a giveaway page, a sign-up form, this page and our Privacy Policy. Anyone may read those, and using them means accepting these terms.
Using the administrative side
The administrative screens are restricted to people we have authorised. You may not attempt to sign in without authorisation, share credentials, or attempt to reach data you have not been given access to.
Acceptable use
When using any part of this service, you agree not to:
- break the law, or use the service to harm or harass anybody;
- submit somebody else's personal information as your own, or enter a giveaway under a false identity;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, its data, or the server it runs on;
- interfere with the service — scraping it, overloading it, probing it, or circumventing its security or rate limits;
- upload anything malicious, or anything you do not have the right to upload.
We may remove content or refuse access if these terms are broken.
Giveaways
Each giveaway has its own official rules published on its own page, and those rules govern that giveaway — including who may enter, how entries are earned, how a winner is drawn and how a prize is claimed. Where these terms and a giveaway's own rules disagree, the giveaway's rules apply to that giveaway.
Our giveaways are not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, Meta, Google or YouTube.
Content and intellectual property
The recipes, text, photographs and design on this site belong to Checked Solutions, LLC, trading as Tom the Chef, unless stated otherwise. You may read and share them personally; you may not republish them commercially without our permission.
Anything you submit stays yours. By submitting it you give us permission to store and use it for the purpose you submitted it for — answering your comment, running your entry, or sending you what you asked for.
Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. It explains what we collect, who it goes to, and how to have it deleted.
Availability
The service is provided as is and as available. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Recipes and cooking information are provided for general use; you are responsible for food safety, allergens and your own dietary needs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Checked Solutions, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case the exclusions above apply only so far as that jurisdiction allows.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version replaces this page and the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the service after that means accepting the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
